The Alf. Mizzi & Sons (Marketing) Group was set up in 1986 but its origins date back to 1915 when Alfred Mizzi, the founder, set up a modest importation business.
From its inception in 1915 until the early 1960s, the Firm Alf. Mizzi & Sons was a small family-run business importing food, shoes, household goods and other products, servicing Malta's small market. It was only after Malta's independence in the mid-1960s and its subsequent economic growth, that Alfred Mizzi's sons started to diversify.
The next phase of expansion coincided with the advent of the third generation. Starting in the early 1980s, the Alf. Mizzi & Sons Group has since expanded into different areas: manufacturing, computers and office equipment, retailing, real estate and hotels while expanding its import and distribution activities in the food sector.
